Blackened Mahi Mahi

Our homemade blackened seasoning really gives a punch to this tender Mahi Mahi. Have this dish ready and on the table in under 15 minutes. An easy weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 Mahi Mahi filets 4-6 oz each, patted dry
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter melted
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons Blackened seasoning
  • 2 tablspoons Olive oil
  • Juice from 1 lemon

Instructions

  • Dip the mahi mahi filets in the melted butter, covering both sides of each filet. Then season both sides of the mahi mahi filets with blackened seasoning. 
  • Place a large skillet pan over medium-high heat and add the olive oil once the pan is hot. Add the fish to the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove mahi mahi from the skillet. 
  • Squeeze lemon juice over the mahi mahi filets before serving. 

Notes

  • The length of time for cooking the Mahi Mahi will depend on the thickness of the fish. 
  • Mahi Mahi filets are cooked when the fish has reached an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
