Equipment

  • Glass jar for mixing and storage

Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cups half and half
  • 14 ounces of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Pour the half-and-half, sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract directly into a clean 1-quart glass jar with a tight-sealing lid.
  • Secure the lid tightly onto the jar.
  • Shake the jar vigorously for about 30 seconds to a minute or until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined and smooth.
  • Optionally, open the jar to taste the mixture and adjust the levels of vanilla or condensed milk if needed. Reseal and shake again if adjustments are made.

Notes

Before each use, give the container a good shake to ensure all the ingredients are well mixed. Store the homemade coffee creamer in the refrigerator for up to a week.
The base recipe for coffee creamer is half and half and sweetened condensed milk.
Leave out the vanilla extract and add these flavor variations if you like.
  • Hazelnut Creamer - Add 2 teaspoons of hazelnut extract to the base recipe.
  • Mocha Creamer - Add 2 Tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder to the base recipe.
  • Pumpkin Spice Creamer - Add 2 Tablespoons of pure pumpkin puree and 1 teaspoon of pumpkin spice to the base recipe.
