Ingredients

½ cup unsalted butter softened 1 stick, room temperature
¼ cup packed light brown sugar
1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and kosher salt.
Using a hand mixer or a wooden spoon, blend the ingredients until they're smooth and well combined.
Taste the mixture, and adjust the ingredients if necessary based on your preference.
Transfer the cinnamon butter to a jar or an airtight container and refrigerate.
When ready to use, spread or dollop onto your choice of foods such as toast, muffins, or pancakes.

Notes

Ensure the unsalted butter is at room temperature. If it's not, you can soften it quickly by microwaving it on a low setting in short bursts, being careful not to melt it.
Cinnamon butter can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Before using, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften, ensuring the best spreadability and flavor release.
This butter is not just for bread or muffins; it's a versatile spread that can also be melted over cooked carrots, yams, or even used in baked goods for an extra layer of flavor.
