Ingredients
½
cup
honey
any variety you prefer but I recommend a floral honey like orange blossom or clover.
¼
cup
hot water
Instructions
Add honey to a heat-safe container. Pour hot (not boiling) water into the container over the honey.
Stir until the honey is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
Let cool before using.
Notes
This recipe yields a thicker honey syrup. For a thinner syrup, add more hot water, a little at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
Store any leftover syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one month.
You can also make this recipe by combining the ingredients in a small pot over medium heat. Stir until the honey is fully dissolved.
