Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon Ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the garlic powder, salt, ground black pepper, onion powder, dried oregano, ground cumin, and turmeric.
  • Store the adobo seasoning in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
  • Use the adobo seasoning as a dry rub on meats, sprinkle it on vegetables, or season rice and beans.

Notes

  • This recipe makes about 1/3 cup of seasoning.
  • If you like spicy food, add a little cayenne pepper for heat, or include other spices, such as smoked paprika, or chipotle powder, for a smoky flavor.
