How do you separate frozen burgers easily?

We’ve all been there, you’re frozen burgers are well and truly stuck together and you can not separate them! Please do not try and use a sharp knife to cut them apart. Instead, rest a blunt butter knife between the burgers, and tap lightly with a mallet. The burgers will come apart easily with this method.

Do you have to thaw the burgers?

For the best results, use hamburger patties straight from the freezer. You can cook raw homemade burgers in the air fryer, but the timings will change. Store-bought frozen patties are always best cooked from their frozen state, no matter what method you are using.

What do you serve with them?

Once cooked, serve your burgers in your favorite buns with toppings and sauces like lettuce, red onion, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Serve them alongside these favorite sides:

Recipe Notes and Tips

  • Cook hamburgers until they reach an internal temperature of 165F. Use a quick read thermometer to test the temperature.
  • The hamburgers should be cooked from frozen. If you’re having trouble separating the burgers, use a butter knife and a mallet to softly tap between the burgers. They will easily separate.
  • Frozen hamburgers are known to leak a little burger goop while cooking. Simply wipe that off before serving.
