Happy February! You will find that February’s produce is quite similar to the produce you will find in January. These winter fruits and vegetables typically are the same and only change a little once we start getting into spring.

Either way, February is the perfect time to take advantage of winter fruits and vegetables before spring arrives.

It’s best to look up what’s in season based on your location, as many different States will have different produce that’s in season. I like to refer to the seasonal food guide to determine what’s in season in my area.

Why eat in-season produce?

Eating fruits and vegetables in season is a great way to ensure you’re getting the most flavor, nutrition, and cost-effectiveness out of your produce. Eating seasonally is also a fantastic way to support local farmers as well as reduce food waste – as seasonal produce is typically fresher than off-season products.
